2011-2012 Chapter Accomplishments           

Four major General Membership Meetings were conducted for its members and guests: 

• Recruiting and Retention in Today' Army - speakers from US Army and Army Guard Recruiting Commands

• TRICARE, U.S. Family Health Plan, Delta Dental Symposium - expert speakers from these programs.

• Status of RI ROTC/JROTC Programs - Cadets/Staff presentations on status and how we can help. Presented $250 grants to each unit.

• Soldiers of Excellence Recognition - NCOs/Soldiers/Recruiters of the Year from RI units honored.

In addition, the Chapter presented recognition awards to distinguished Cadets at all ROTC/JROTC units during Spring ceremonies.

  Membership benefits: 

The Fifth Annual SFC Curtis Mancini Memorable Golf  Tournament was held at the Valley Country Club, Warwick, RI 

Two $1,000 SFC Curtis Mancini Memorial Scholarships were awarded to children of Chapter members during a social event for members and family.

 Support for Troops and Families:

Provided a grant to the RI US Army Recruiting Company in support of their Family Programs.

Helped fund the Welcome Home Ceremony for members of the 443d CA Bn and their families.                                               

Donated money to the RI Veterans Home to help supplement some programs there that are under funded. 

Observed the Year of the NCO and Army's Birthday in a meaningful way with various veteran's groups. 

Supported Operation Holiday Cheer to assist in sending packages to troops overseas. 

National Meetings:

 The Chapter was represented at Regional and National meetings and received 16 National recognition awards for its achievements.
